In many cases, the adults living with the child do not have the child’s guardianship. However, they need to take all the decisions regarding the child. Hence various probate laws are given under New York State law that specifies how to get guardianship. The court makes the guardian responsible after taking care, control and decisions of the child in the absence of the parents. Furthermore, they should provide the child with proper education, food and clothing. And any mental or medical problems of the child is the responsibility of the guardian. He should resolve it. The guardian should also provide the child with shelter, protection and safety. Later we shall see the probate laws for how to get guardianship.
